Jeff is very knowledgeable, reassuring and patient. I was worried about my dog being boarded for the first time because he comes from a sketchy past and has some anxiety with new environments. After many questions the first day, I was reassured that Hank was in great hands and Jeff would ensure that Hank was comfortable and that he transitioned slowly and safely into his routine. Hank came back happy and exhausted. I'm looking fwd to using Jeff every weekend for boarding while I work, which is a huge relief for me. It takes the worry off of trying to find dog sitters every wkend when I work 12-16 hrs. Previously, we had inconsistent routines with having a revolving door of sitters which seemed to increase Hank's anxiety every Monday. Using Jeff will instill a sense of stability for Hank and Jeff will continue Hank's structured routine that I have with him during the week. The price is comparable to all boarding facilities, but with the added peace of mind having a professional dog trainer who knows dog behavior. Very happy to stumble onto WMK9!! Thanks Jeff!

When I brought home my 1 year old Boxer rescue to join my family I knew I would need some help. He was scared, reactive, needed leash training, visitor control, but oh so loving! Got along great, at first, with my 7 year old Shiba Inu but he quickly was placing dominance/alpha towards my boxer and I thought to myself “what have I done??” Instantly went to google and searched dog training/board and train and WMK9 was one of the first to pop up for me! All the reviews were so positive and made me confident in choosing them to help me! I scheduled both my dogs for the 3 week board/train thinking my stubborn Shiba wouldn’t get much out of it but if he could get better at basic commands/respect, it would all be worth it. And oh was it! My Shiba is still a stubborn boy but he is so much more well mannered and listens so much better. Most importantly, he’s now best of friends with my new Boxer! What I’m blown away by is how calmer my boxer is now, he’s so smart learned so quickly, we’re still working on some reactivity he’s having when on walks but over all 1000/10 experience with WMK9! This training has changed my life, changed our walks, changed my dogs for the better, while still keeping their individual personalities. I can not recommend more and will be using them for boarding and follow up trainings when needed! I’m beyond thankful!

I’ve never been a great dog trainer, but had been fairly lucky that my previous dogs had been easy. Then came Charlie, a sweet lab, but a monster for a bad dog trainer to train. At my wits end, I had to go out of town so was looking for a boarder and decided that maybe I could get a professional to train him as well as boarding. I searched web and Facebook reviews and came across WMK9-Well Mannered K9. I contacted Jeff who promptly reached out to me and after talking with him about Charlie and my challenges and what I was hoping for, I decided to go for the 4 week training. After dropping him off, Jeff sent pictures and videos nearly every day. I was instantly amazed by what I saw Jeff and his team doing. I was seeing videos of Charlie sitting and laying down patiently while surrounded by other dogs a cat and the team being distractions….and he was still obeying the “place” and other commands. He was out at public establishments and he was not driving all the other patrons nuts. When Jeff came to bring Charlie back to me at the end for an at home training, Jeff explained everything he was working on, and why, and how I should continue going forward. I walked around with Charlie on a slack leash without him pulling or jumping up at me. Jeff and the WMK9-Well Mannered K9 team truly did an amazing job. Jeff reiterated that I could always contact him with questions. I’m confident that as I continue to keep training Charlie with what Jeff has taught me, that he is going to be my best trained dog I’ve ever had.

We can’t say enough great things about Jeff and the incredible work he did with our dog, Arlo. We left Arlo with him for three weeks for aggressive/reactive boarding and training, and the difference is honestly amazing.

Before training, walks were extremely stressful — Arlo pulled constantly, reacted to anyone near our street, and could be very difficult to handle. He would jump up, get mouthy, and generally felt unpredictable in certain situations.

When we picked him up, he felt like a completely different dog. Walks are now enjoyable instead of exhausting. He walks calmly without the constant pulling, stays much more focused, and no longer goes crazy when people pass by our house or on walks. The jumping and biting behavior has also improved tremendously.

Jeff clearly knows what he’s doing and genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. He was patient, knowledgeable, and gave us guidance so we could continue reinforcing the training at home.

The transformation we saw in just three weeks with Arlo was incredible. If you’re dealing with a reactive or difficult dog and feel overwhelmed, we highly recommend Jeff.
