Good K9 Institute works across training, enrichment and scent work. The published programs are a Foundation Assessment at $150 (a 60-minute consult plus a 30-minute follow-up, and a prerequisite for private work), private training in packages of four at $400 or eight at $800, Board & Train as either a 10-Day Jump Start or a 3-4 week program, Mantrailing as a $200 intro workshop with $60 progression sessions, Connection Walks at $60 for about 45 minutes, and online coaching for clients outside the area.

Method

The stated focus is understanding rather than control: thoughtful structure, enrichment that meets natural needs, clear communication and practical everyday skills. Connection Walks are explicitly not a training session and not a dog-walking service – they are described as a reset for leash communication and engagement, guided in real time without correction.

Scent work

Mantrailing is the distinctive part of this business and is rare in the south metro: the dog follows human scent trails through real environments, building confidence and focus. Detection training is offered separately.
