About Legacy Dog Training LLC

What they do

Legacy Dog Training & Grooming, LLC runs Basic, Intermediate and Private training out of McDonough, and says on its home page that it can also help with nuisance behaviors to "un-frustrate" life at home. Grooming was added alongside the training side.

Puppy readiness

The one program they publish a price for is an in-home puppy readiness class at $80.00. It covers house breaking, crate training, which toys suit a puppy, and the early nuisance behaviors owners hit first – destructive chewing and puppy nipping – then the habits that prepare a puppy for obedience work.

How the sessions run

Classes are taught in the privacy of your own home. The site asks you to bring a 4, 5 or 6 ft leash (no retractable leashes), a martingale or buckle collar, and a treat pouch with a range of treats.

Method

Their About page describes methods that are gentle and effective, based on Pavlonian methods and the four quadrants of operant conditioning, with a reward-based system first.
