About All Things D.O.G.

All Things D.O.G. operates from 3707 SW US HWY 40, Blue Springs, MO 64015, on (816) 228-4567. Its home page frames the business around a familiar frustration – "Pulling on the leash, ignoring commands, jumping on guests, or barking at everything can make even the most loving dog owners feel overwhelmed" – and says its programs "focus on clear communication, motivation, and structure, helping dogs understand what is expected so they can confidently succeed".

Mission and method

The about page states the mission: "Our mission is to enhance the human-dog relationship by educating owners and advocating dog-friendly training. At the same time, we endorse continued education and learning so we may provide instructors of the highest caliber." The method is named as reward-based, which the page says "not only encourages the dog to learn, but also fosters a stronger bond between the dog and the owner". It is also explicit about what it is not aiming at: "We don’t aim for “perfect dogs.”"

Programs

The navigation lists group classes, puppy training, day training, private training, agility training and K9 nose work, plus a dog trainer course for people who want to enter the profession. Beyond classes there is what the site calls enrichment-based daycare "designed to fulfill dogs both mentally and physically", and a D.O.G. Club "featuring four fun activities each month that give dogs and their owners new ways to learn, play, and connect".

The pitch, in its own words

The about page draws the line between obedience drills and daily life: "We don’t just teach obedience commands. We teach communication, practical skills, and real-life problem solving — so you and your dog can relax together instead of struggling against each other." Staff and facility pages exist on the site; ask who the trainers are, their credentials and prices.
