About Kurtz K-9’s Dog Training

What they do

Kurtz K9 publishes training packages on its own site under the line "Dog training through education". The site is organized around features, packages and reviews rather than a long service list, and the training on offer is general obedience and behavior work.

Who runs it

The home page says the business was founded by Carolyn in 2017, beginning with the aim of helping dogs like her own. In her own first-person account she finished school in 2016 to become a professional dog trainer, studying animal behavior and modern techniques, after her own dog had severe behavioral problems and every trainer she took him to wanted her to drop him off rather than teach her.

Credentials

The site's own phrasing on credentials is vague – it says only that the business is AKC certified, without naming what. What can be confirmed independently is narrower and more useful: Carolyn Kurtz is listed in the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator registry at this business's own domain and in Ballwin.
