About Dominion Dog Training

What they offer

Dominion Dog Training's home page lists basic, intermediate and advanced obedience classes, behavioral training for specific issues, private one-on-one sessions, potty training, and guidance on choosing and preparing for a puppy. It also lists AKC Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine and Urban Canine programs, day training with a daycare option, and board and train programs in Tuscaloosa.

How the training works

Before the first class, it runs a people-only orientation on how dogs think and learn, dog body language and how to become your dog's pack leader. The page says it works with the dog's instinctual understanding and draws on several well-known training authors.

Good to know

The home page describes classes in Hoover and board and train in Tuscaloosa, while the business's address is in Bessemer; check the Contact/Location page or call to confirm where your class meets. The site says the trainer is an IACP Professional Member, which is its own claim.
