About Insightful Hound

What they offer

Insightful Hound offers private, in-home training and support for Huntsville and the surrounding area, and lists virtual sessions as well. Its services page covers adult dog manners, puppy socialization and manners, solutions for common behavior problems, and pre-puppy or pre-adoption consultations that help match you with a dog. The first step is a 90-minute initial consultation to discuss your goals and build a customized training plan.

Approach and background

The home page says the training is rooted in current, scientifically valid, ethical and effective methods. The About Us page names Candice Scheibel as owner and says she is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP), with a zoology degree and earlier work training exotic animals and as a behavior coordinator at a municipal shelter, where she worked with aggressive and fearful dogs.
