Service dog coaching

Michelle Hill, known as "The Dog Trainer Girl," is a service dog trainer who describes herself as a Certified Dog Behavioral Consultant, Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Certified Service Dog Coach. Her service dog program coaches owner trainers to build a top-quality service dog, covering ADA law, marker training, public access skills and the task work that helps a handler with a disability.

Therapy dogs and therapists

She prepares therapy dog teams for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and therapy dog certification, and she teaches therapists and school counselors how to use their dogs in Animal Assisted Play Therapy.

Manners, behavior and potty training

For family dogs she offers private 1-on-1 manners training in three levels, from name games, leave it and loose leash walking through long line recalls to off leash boundaries and attention heeling. Private coaching covers advanced obedience and behavior modification in the home, and behavioral consultations and potty training sessions run over video call. She also evaluates tricks for Do More With Your Dog and can teach business staff service dog etiquette.

Michelle has taken an oath, through her membership with the Pet Professionals Guild, not to use shock, prong, choke, pain, force or fear in her training.
