Training at the Jonesboro campus

Hounds Hideaway, a daycare and boarding business with locations in Conway, Jonesboro and Rogers, offers training at its Jonesboro location. Obedience work focuses on the essentials: sit, stay, down, recall, heel or loose leash walking, and place, with other behaviors available on request.

Philosophy

The trainers believe dogs learn best once they have burned off physical energy, so play comes before work. Sessions reward success using each dog's favorite things, and every program includes parent involvement.

Three ways to train

Play & Train pups spend a normal daycare day and are pulled from their playgroup for training sessions, with in-person hand-off sessions and follow-ups included in the package. Stay & Train adds two training sessions a day to a boarding stay to build an obedience foundation quickly, ending with a meeting to hand off skills. Travel & Train takes dogs with a decent foundation out to dog-friendly local businesses to polish manners in public. Training is not currently available on weekends.
