Marley's Day Out Dog Training serves the Owasso and Tulsa area with private training, board and train, group classes and daycare training. Its home page lists four focus areas: puppy and foundation skills, reactivity and behavioral health (fear, anxiety and on-leash reactivity), advanced obedience with off-leash reliability, and therapy dog preparation.

The programs

The private training page describes a 90-minute Behavior Jumpstart session, a six-lesson Companion Dog program for basic obedience and house manners, and a longer Companion Dog Plus program for reliable obedience with heavy distractions. For shy, reactive and aggressive dogs it recommends Companion Dog Plus or a behavior board and train. It offers all levels of CGC testing and help toward therapy dog certification.

Who trains

The about page introduces founder Heather Hawkins, who says she started the business as an in-home service in 2012 and is "a certified trainer with CCPDT, a CGC Evaluator, member of APDT". These are the business's own claims.

How the training works

The home page says it exclusively uses positive reinforcement to build obedience without force, and that board-and-train dogs stay at a private residence on 5 acres rather than a boarding facility. Private sessions happen at your home or in dog-friendly public places.
