What they offer

Wheatland Dog Center is a dog training and boarding business at 13650 E 75th St S, just outside Derby, run from the owners' 20 acre farm. The home page describes experienced puppy raisers and professional dog trainers and offers a free training evaluation.

Programs

The services page lists the Dream Dog board-and-train program, custom designed for each client and running three to six weeks, followed by private lessons at home and ongoing support. It addresses pulling on leash, ignoring commands, unruly behavior with guests, resource guarding, fearfulness and lack of confidence. Private lesson packages cover puppy training, basic obedience and more serious behavioral issues, with lessons in your home, at the facility and in public; an in-person consultation is required first. About the trainer

The about page introduces Kayla Ferguson, who began training professionally in 2016 after attending Starmark School for Dog Trainers, and says she is an IACP member. The FAQ says she uses whatever methods and tools work best for each dog, from food and praise to e-collars or training collars, and that clients can come back to her for help for the life of the dog.
