About Art of the Dog Canine Academy

What they offer

Art of the Dog Canine Academy runs one program for every dog: a 21-day live-in board and train. The dog lives at the academy for three weeks, with training woven into each day in an environment built for behavioral change. The academy opened in 2019 and has a second location in Longmont.

Who it is for

The site says the academy was built around the behavioral cases that group classes, private trainers and even vet behaviorists could not resolve: bite histories, conflict in multi-dog households and fear that shows up as aggression. It also has pages on reactive dog training, dog anxiety and off-leash training.

How they train

It describes a balanced approach that uses the full range of tools and methods to give each dog clarity and follow-through, matched to the individual dog rather than a fixed script. The academy was founded by Will Lieberman and Jamie Miller.
