The K-9 Psychologist is Val DeSantis's private, in-home dog training business in Pueblo West. Services include puppy programs for dogs 12 to 16 weeks, older puppy and adoption programs, basic training and commands, socialization, clicker or marker training, poison proofing and special needs training for physically challenged owners. Behavior modification covers hyperactivity, anxiety, fear, aggression, excessive barking, destructive behavior, food guarding and separation anxiety, and he also offers virtual training.

The trainer

Val lists nearly 30 years of dog training experience and describes himself as a Certified Master Trainer and Certified Behavioral Consultant, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a graduate of Anthony Jerone's School of Dog Training. He is a member of Schutzhund USA and the author of a book, Tails From The Barkside.
