About Kona’s Dog Training

What they offer

Kona's Dog Training is based in Tempe and serves the Phoenix metro area. Its programs include a Puppy Start Program for puppies under a year, a Puppy Boarding School with a two-week training stay, a Kick Start Program of three private lessons for dogs that need the basics, an Unlimited Program for adult dogs, and a Boarding School Program in which adult dogs stay at the trainer's home for two weeks.

What is covered

Depending on the program, training covers obedience and behavior commands, potty and crate training, reactive dog training and distraction work, with private home lessons, a virtual option and lifetime support.

Who trains

Lead trainer Gabrielle Sabol started the business after working through her own husky's aggression and anxiety, and lists relationship-based training certifications and an IACP associate membership. An initial consultation is required before any program.
