Tailored training from Independence

Upland Pine K9 Training is based in Independence and serves surrounding areas including Salem, Silverton, Albany and Corvallis. It works with dogs of every age, breed and size, from chihuahuas to Great Danes, on problems like leash pulling, poor recall and reactivity. Training is tailored to each dog, using a variety of tools and methods including positive reinforcement, play, slip leads, prong collars and remote collars.

Meet the trainer

Founder Joy started with horses as a teenager and has trained dogs professionally since 2022. She founded the business to empower owners through education, blending knowledge, patience and clear communication.

Programs

Private lessons run over 4 or 8 one-on-one sessions covering basic obedience and unwanted behaviors. Day training takes a dog 2 days a week to teach the basics, followed by private lessons to solidify the work. Clients get tailored plans, one-on-one coaching and lifetime support, and a free consultation is available.
