About NW K9 Obedience

What they offer

NW K9 Obedience was founded in 2023 by John Knoke to build better relationships between dogs and their handlers. Based on Case Road in Olympia, it offers consultations, basic obedience and behavior modification, including aggressive or reactive behavior.

Approach

John uses a Stress Ecology philosophy, which lets him work with some of the most reactive and aggressive dogs toward becoming stable, neutral members of society. Basic obedience sessions aim for a well-rounded dog at home and in public.

About the trainer

John served in the Army before working in the corporate world, and turned to dog training through his own rescue dog, whom he trained as his personal service dog and as a tracking and trailing partner. He completed a master trainer course covering obedience, tracking, detection, bite work, reactive and aggressive dog rehabilitation and service dog training.
