Bullishly Brilliant Dog Behavior and Training is run by Ashley, who has more than ten years of dog training and behavior experience. She works with dogs that jump on guests, bark and spin at other dogs on walks, bowl over people at the park, nip at clothes or the leash, or have bitten out of fear.

How it works

Training takes place at a training center in Tumwater. Ashley coaches the owner to train their own dog, so the dog only has to learn the family's handling style, and much of the work is built from simple games played a few times a day.

Approach

She follows progressive reinforcement training: teaching by reinforcing wanted behavior and interrupting and preventing unwanted behavior without intentional physical or psychological intimidation, with attention to the dog's health and emotional state.
