About Cassidae Canines

What they offer

Cassidae Canines works by appointment from Mission Road in Bellingham. Private training sessions build calm, clear communication for behavior issues, obedience and confidence. The board and train program covers basic manners and obedience, leash skills and calm walking, reducing unwanted behaviors, impulse control and calm behavior around people and dogs, with owner coaching included to keep the progress going.

Puppies and service dogs

A puppy start-up program guides new owners through potty training, crate training, chewing and foundational obedience. Private service dog evaluations assess whether an owner's dog has the temperament, stability and focus for service work, followed by a training and coaching plan for good candidates.

How she trains

Founder Denise CoStanten teaches owners first, focusing on leadership, boundaries, clarity and calm energy, with no harsh methods. Calm small-group daycare and boarding are also offered.
