About Animal Humane New Mexico

What they offer

Animal Humane New Mexico is an Albuquerque animal welfare organization that runs Train Humane, a program of low to no cost dog training classes at its Pet Resource Center, created because training can be expensive and hard to reach. It also runs a behavior helpline and other community services.

Classes

Puppy Preschool gives puppies under six months a basic start. Civilized Canine is a basic manners and training class for dogs six months and older. Reactive Rover focuses on managing and improving a dog's leash reactivity toward other dogs and people. Little Dog, Big World is for dogs under 25 pounds and over six months, covering body language, common small-dog behavior issues and basic manners.

Good to know

Classes use consistent cues and positive reinforcement and are taught by a team of local certified trainers. Ask about the current class schedule and waitlist.
