About Southwest Canine Ethology

What they offer

Southwest Canine Ethology, formerly known under another name, is a Rio Rancho and Albuquerque dog behavior business led by Page Lynn Potter, who holds a master's degree in animal behavior. Its approach is evidence-based and built on applied ethology, treating every dog as a study of one.

Behavior work

The core service is behavioral diagnostics and rehabilitation for dogs with serious problems, including aggression and other high-risk cases, starting with an application for a consultation. A weekly drop-in pack walk is also offered.

Training and sports

Service dog foundations training, six-week agility foundations group courses that meet at a park in Rio Rancho, sport and performance coaching such as AKC scent work and barn hunt, AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluations and a rattlesnake prevention workshop round out the program.
