A day school for dogs

The Dog House is a day school for dogs at 115 5th Street West in Billings, built for dogs that struggle in a typical daycare: the reactive, high-drive, quirky and misunderstood. It practices relationship-first training, letting each dog progress at its own speed and focusing on confidence and mindset first.

The day

Days are split into classes. Fitness class burns energy with flirt poles, treadmill time, tug, agility courses and strength work. Obedience class covers sit, down, stay, come, leash walking and staying neutral around leashed dogs, then advances. Specialty classes add scent games, trick training, agility or park walks, and social time uses small play groups of 2 to 6 dogs. Dogs rest in 5×5 kennels between sessions. Monthly group classes are limited to 4 dogs, and overnight boarding runs seven days a week. New clients get a free evaluation.

Prices

Day school is $40 for a half day and $55 for a full day, with packages from $138. Group class is free with a membership or $25 for non-members. Boarding is $48 a day for the first dog and $38 for each additional dog, with a $15 day school add-on.
