Thunder Ridge Kennels is a boarding and training kennel at 4210 Hwy 312, about 15 minutes from the Billings airport in a country setting. The property has spacious kennels and large exercise fields, and owner and trainer Leonard Houser lives on site. The kennel credits him with over 35 years of training and boarding, and says it is often recommended by veterinarians.

Training

Leonard trains retrievers for hunting and has trained for and taken part in field trials, with over 25 years in the hunting dog training field. Puppy training aims to have puppies knowing manners, the "kennel up" command and the difference between learning and socializing by six months of age. Started and ready dogs, including lab and shorthair crosses, are offered for sale. Boarding covers all breeds and ages, from a weekend to a full season, with no extra charge for temperament evaluation, medications or play time.
