About Gilford’s Golden Guardians

Service animal training in Gilford

Gilford's Golden Guardians is a service animal training program at 26 Hoyt Rd. in Gilford. Its mission is to provide consultation and 1:1 coaching to handlers while they train their service animals, in a program it describes as fast-paced and community-based. It teaches pups to become confident dogs that can think on their feet and give the right support to each person.

Areas of focus

The program covers medical alert animals, autism service animals and PTSD support animals. It works with golden retrievers, Labrador retrievers, standard poodles and their crosses, such as golden doodles and labra doodles. A 2026 contract is available to download from its pages, alongside sections on methods and standards and getting started.
