About Woof Works Training

What they offer

Woof Works Training is a dog training business on Ogunquit Road in Cape Neddick, in the town of York, that focuses on practical, relationship-based training for everyday owners. Its owner, Mike, works with puppies and adult dogs learning the basics, dogs that pull on the leash, reactive or easily overwhelmed dogs, and dogs ready for advanced work.

Programs

Private training sessions take place at the facility, with travel to the client's home available for an added charge, and focus on obedience, minor behavior issues and leash training with gradually added distractions. Puppy training for dogs six months and younger covers structure and routines, socialization, impulse control and engagement. Dogs with major behavior issues such as aggression, biting or resource guarding are referred to a trainer on the team who specializes in behavior modification.

How it works

Clients meet the trainer, build foundational skills, then practice in real-life situations so the dog settles at home, walks calmly on leash and responds with focus and confidence.
