About Wight Birch Farm and Kennels

What they offer

Wight Birch Farms and Kennels is a working farm on Ridge Road in Waldo whose mission is purpose-driven dog training, including pairing people with disabilities with trained service dogs. Alongside its service dog work and farm products, it offers pet dog training and boarding.

Pet dog training

Training starts with a free consult to discuss goals and assess the dog. The basics program runs ten weeks, meeting twice a week, and covers obedience and house training. A 21-day board and train keeps the dog at the farm for basic obedience and house training, followed by three transition sessions with the owner.

Behavioral training

For more challenging dogs, the farm offers behavioral training alongside obedience, and an online behavioral hotline consultation for problems such as fear, aggression, reactivity and anxiety.
