About Happy Hounds Pet Retreat

What they offer

Happy Hounds Pet Retreat is a training and boarding business on seven private acres in Hope, serving Waldo County, Knox County and surrounding areas. It grew out of Happy Hounds Dog Training when the business bought a boarding facility in Hope.

Training

Owner and head trainer Megan has trained dogs professionally for eight years and works alongside a second trainer. Their balanced training programs, including e-collar training for off-leash communication, cover manners, obedience and behavior challenges for dogs of all ages, and structured board and train programs focus on consistent routines.

Boarding

Dogs stay in climate-controlled indoor kennels with guided trips to fenced runs, and optional add-ons include nature walks, play sessions and mini training sessions. Cat boarding is offered in a quiet, cat-friendly environment.
