About K9one LLC @ Stonehill Kennel

Board and train in Goshen

K9one at Stonehill Kennel is a family-owned dog training and boarding facility in Goshen. Founder Christopher Byrne began offering dog training in Stamford in 1988, and in 2005 the business expanded to Goshen with the purchase of Stonehill Kennel. K9one credits Byrne with directing K-9 bomb detection services for FEMA during the World Trade Center recovery mission and with supplying trained dogs to law enforcement agencies. Its home page cites 38 years of proven results.

Programs

The flagship Six-Week Board & Train delivers structured daily obedience training with behavior modification, weekly photo and video updates, and private owner lessons before the dog goes home, backed by a lifetime obedience guarantee. K9one also offers behavior modification for difficult and aggressive dogs, task-specific service dog training, select companion puppies and young adults, and boarding in climate-controlled indoor and outdoor runs. Training is described as balanced and real-world.

Trainers

CJ Byrne has experience in obedience, service, protection, tracking and detection work and is a graduate of Bart Bellon's NePoPo Silver and Gold school. Cory Becker has trained hundreds of dogs in the six-week program since 2012, and Cassidy Stone is a graduate of K9one's professional trainer program.

What owners say

One owner wrote that after the six-week program her puppy sleeps all night in her crate and "every single person who meets her comments on how well behaved she is."
