About Goldenbrook Farm LLC

Training built on partnership

Goldenbrook Farm LLC is a dog training business in and around Harwinton, owned by Debbie Birden. Debbie believes that investing time and effort in training leads to a happy, harmonious home, and her program emphasizes a relationship of respect and partnership between people and dogs.

Approach

Goldenbrook takes a positive and enjoyable approach, focused on teamwork and building trust through fun, engaging sessions. Training is treated as a collaboration, with the aim of helping owners become effective trainers for their own dogs. Each dog gets an individualized plan, and Goldenbrook describes a flexible approach to training methods.

What to expect

Work starts with a one-on-one introductory session where Debbie gets to know you and your dog, learns your goals and explains her style of training. From there, you decide together whether to continue with one-on-one sessions or join a group class matched to your schedule and your dog's personality. Training covers everything from basic commands such as sit, down, stand, stay and recall to agility, including obstacles like the A-frame and tire.
