About Canyon View Ranch
What they offer
Canyon View Ranch is a five-acre dog boarding and training retreat in Topanga Canyon, where dogs spend much of the day outdoors with pools, tunnels and ramps, with a separate area for small dogs.
Training
The ranch's trainers offer on and off leash obedience, correcting behavioral issues, aggression problems and socializing, and puppy consultations. They describe using praise and enthusiasm to build confidence and the dog's bond with its owner.
Getting there
A daily shuttle picks dogs up and drops them off at home on set days. Ask how training is scheduled during a boarding stay.
What they can help with
Sit, stay, recall and reliable commands, from beginner to advanced.
Calming a dog that barks or lunges at other dogs or people while on leash.
Behavior modification for unwanted or problem habits.
Help for dogs that bite, lunge or react out of fear or aggression.
Socialization
Structured socialization to build calm confidence in the world.
Early socialization, house-training and first manners for young dogs.
Your dog stays with the trainer for an immersive, multi-week program.
