About Whittier Dog Club – Training & Boarding

What they offer

Whittier Dog Club is a dog training facility on Philadelphia Street in Whittier with training, boarding, grooming and retail under one roof. It describes its approach as structured, focused on clear communication, consistency and guidance, and new clients start with a free evaluation at the facility.

Training programs

The board and train program runs four or six weeks, from foundational obedience for puppies to mild and severe behavior challenges in adult dogs, with private sessions for the owner during and after the stay; the longer program works toward off-leash reliability. A day training program three days a week suits dogs without extreme behavior issues, and private lessons are offered at the facility or at home. Group classes include a reactive dog class, a Canine Good Citizen class, pack walks and beginner and advanced detection classes for scent work.

Specialty training

A personal protection program trains dogs with professional decoys while keeping them obedient and stable family companions. The facility explains its use of e-collars on its FAQ page.
