About Little Angels Dog Training

What they offer

Little Angels Service Dogs is a San Diego County nonprofit that has trained and placed service dogs with people living with disabilities for about 20 years. Alongside its placement work it offers a program for people who want to train their own dog, or a dog they buy, to become a service dog with help from its certified trainers.

Owner-Training Service Dog Lessons

The program starts with a consultation in which a trainer assesses the disability, the training needs and the dog, and can help select a suitable dog. Regular lessons follow, held in person or virtually, with text and email support and review of training videos between lessons. Public access certification testing is part of the program, with yearly recertification.

Pet dogs

The site also lists virtual training for pet dogs. Questions about the owner-training program go to the organization by email.
