About Crown Dog Training

Positive training around Cutler Bay

Crown Dog Training is a positive reinforcement dog training company serving Cutler Bay and the Miami area, established in 2014 in Miami, with private in-home lessons locally and virtual sessions across the country. Founder Kristen DeLima holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in psychology, is a CPDT-KA, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and an APDT member, and began her career training dolphins, sea lions, penguins, manatees and other species before moving to dogs. Trainer Tiely Araujo, an AKC Evaluator, cites over a decade of training experience and has worked with veterinarians on force-free, stress-free care techniques.

Approach and services

The company uses modern, science-based positive reinforcement to strengthen the bond between owners and dogs. Private in-home sessions take place in the owner's home, and virtual lessons offer training and canine behavior consulting. The team also helps owners choose equipment, enrichment activities and educational resources.

What owners say

Client Shannon R. wrote that after group classes elsewhere failed, Tiely trained both her and her dog, which used to bark constantly and resist the leash.
