Motivated Canine LLC is a Wilmington training business run by Chris and Gabby, a husband and wife duo based in northern Delaware. Their core belief is that no two dogs are the same, so every program is customized, and they use motivation and play to build the bond between owner and dog.

Who trains

Chris apprenticed under a local master dog trainer for four years and worked as a sworn Animal Control Officer for the State of Delaware for four years before training full time. He enrolled in Ivan Balabanov's Training Without Conflict Certification Program, and the business describes him as the first and only TWC Certified Dog Trainer in Delaware. Gabby competes in dog sports with her Border Collie and Siberian Husky and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. Their own dogs compete in disc, agility, rally, lure coursing and mondioring.

Services

Training ranges from leash manners, potty training, off-leash training and basic to advanced obedience to severe leash reactivity, resource guarding and aggressive behavior. Board and train and private lessons are both offered, and a free consultation is the first step.
