About The Pawsitive Dog
A training-only center in Boston
The Pawsitive Dog (written "+ dog") is a full-time dog training facility at 274 Southampton Street in Boston, downstairs in the Boston Red Dog building but independently owned. It describes itself as small and personalized, devoted to training rather than boarding, grooming or daycare, and says it has been developing lifelong dog-owner partnerships since 1998, with well over 10,000 dog-owner teams behind it.
Programs
The curriculum includes traditional classes, Dog Day School, accelerated overnight training, Camp Pawsitive Dog stays, home visits, phone consults, Sunday seminars and Focus on Foundation workshops for new students. It also prepares dogs for Canine Good Citizen and therapy dog work, runs Doggie Defense and Barks & Babies sessions, and offers field trips and titling.
Approach
Training is described as pro-active, motivational, balanced, challenging, in-depth and lasting, for dogs of any breed, age or temperament.
