About Dexterity dog training
Tailored training in the Norton area
Dexterity Dog Training serves Norton and nearby Bristol and Norfolk County towns, among them North and South Attleborough, Foxboro, Mansfield, Walpole, Taunton, Plainville and Wrentham. It describes its style as balanced or positive reinforcement depending on a dog's needs and temperament, and it builds a tailored plan for each dog rather than a set package. Training is based at what it calls a 17,000 sq. ft. boarding and training center.
Puppy programs
The Basic Puppy Package has a puppy spend the day with the trainers, working on potty and crate routines, first commands taught with positive reinforcement, guided socialization and hands-on private lessons. Puppy Scholars is the boarding version, with round-the-clock structure and training.
Board and train
A two-week stay ($3700) drills sit, stay, recall and place and introduces loose-leash walking; a three-week stay ($5500) adds outings, long-line recall and E-Collar work. The 28-day Aggression/Reactivity program ($6000) is built for aggressive, highly reactive or fearful dogs and moves from trust and positive reinforcement to prong collar, long-line and E-Collar stages. Owners may visit during a stay, and every package includes private pick-up sessions.
What owners say
One client wrote that their dog became "more confident, well-behaved, and less anxious while at home and on field trips."
