About LemonAid K9
Hikes, boarding and training from a Washington ranch
LemonAid K9 is a veteran-owned, family-run business in Washington offering off-leash group hikes, boarding and board and train at its ranch outside Houston, with pickup and drop-off across Houston neighborhoods and Katy. It is run by Nic Lemon, a US Marine Corps veteran who started as a military dog handler and trainer in 2009, working explosive detection dogs. The business is also a Dogtra e-collar dealer.
Board and train
Board and train is open to family pets and service dogs of all breeds, ages and behavior problems, and starts with a free in-home consultation. Dogs live in the family's home during the stay. The Fundamentals package generally runs 4-6 weeks and covers sit, down, heel, place, recall, greeting manners, loose-leash walking and socialization. It costs $4,999 all inclusive, with a turnover session, two at-home follow-ups and training videos.
Hikes and boarding
Two-hour off-leash pack hikes run Monday to Friday for friendly dogs 6 months and up, at $70 per hike with free pickup, after a $50 in-home temperament test. Boarding is $75 per day for one dog.
What to ask
Ask how training continues after the stay and whether solo hikes suit a dog with behavior issues.
