The Hill Country Dog Trainer is an Austin dog training business led by Matt Elledge, a veteran and former Army commander who has been around working and hunting dogs most of his life. After trainer James Hamm turned the family's rescued German Shepherd into a well-mannered dog, Matt trained under him and now helps busy owners get a well-behaved dog.

Programs

The on-site Board & Train is a 21-day minimum stay focused on achieving the Big 5 in obedience. Dogs in the programs socialize with other dogs and practice in stores, restaurants, parks, plazas and near schools. Puppy training starts from day one, and Travel Boarding offers concierge boarding with a tune-up for board and train graduates. The menu also lists online training, train-with-you sessions and a do-it-yourself option.
