About Fidelio Dog Works

Training dogs and coaching humans

Fidelio Dog Works is an Austin dog training company built on the idea that training the dog is never enough: owners also need the confidence and knowledge to follow through. Its lessons rely on humane, gentle guidance, sensitivity to each dog's needs and plenty of patience, with owners given hands-on practice, feedback and exercises between visits, and a trainer a text message away. Work starts with a 60-90 minute introductory session in the client's home or at the Fidelio home studio.

Programs

Puppy training can begin before a puppy comes home. Custom obedience lessons run one-on-one at home, at the studio or by video call. Residential Board and Train programs, described as a sleep-away camp for dogs, are run by certified trainers at the studio and include private follow-up lessons. Behavior modification addresses anxiety, fear, aggression and reactivity.

The team

Owner-operator Donovan Miller is credited with over 25 years working with dogs and earned his Certified Professional Trainer credential through the in-residence program at the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers. CEO Rebecca Miller runs the business with him, and Trent is head trainer and studio manager. Trainer Jada holds a Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certification from Starmark Academy. Fidelio describes itself as small by design.
