About K9 Kenny

One trainer in South Austin

K9 Kenny Dog Training and Behavior Specialist is a South Austin business at 9908 Woodshire Drive. Kenny Scotch is a Certified Canine Specialist who graduated in 2015 from Starmark Academy and has worked full time since then as a canine obedience and behavior modification specialist. K9 Kenny is a one-man operation, so every session is with Kenny himself, helped at times by his Belgian Malinois mix, Mojo. The business is fully insured.

Approach and training

Kenny describes his approach as careful balance: dogs are set up to succeed and rewarded for it, while also getting the structure and consistent rules they need, with the owner as the decision maker. He trains dogs out of unruly behavior and teaches owners to maintain it, covering basic and advanced obedience and behavior issues such as leash pulling, ignored commands and poor recall. Training packages can be tailored to each dog, and he uses dedicated training facilities. His vow: "I will always treat your dog the way I treat my own."

What owners say

One client called his approach "informative, truly dog-centered, and focused on problem-solving."
