Petco store 2460 at 1401 S Hwy US 183 in Leander runs dog training inside the store. Training hours are 9am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and 9am to 8pm on Sunday, and the training line is (512) 778-7114.

The class menu

Group classes last six weeks, with hour-long sessions shared by up to four other dogs. Puppy class takes dogs from 8 to 16 weeks for potty training, socialization and first cues. Beginner class covers dogs from 16 weeks to 6 months with loose-leash walking, leave it, wait and games. Dogs 6 months and older can take Fundamentals, which also works on jumping and barking, or Advanced, which adds heel, recall with distractions and polite greetings. Private sessions run 45 minutes one-on-one with a certified trainer, starting with an introductory Private Lesson 101 for new customers, and come in four- or six-session packs.
