About Action Dogs USA

Training camp in Navasota

Action Dogs USA is a training and boarding kennel in Navasota run by Dan Linder, billed as "The Dog Whisperer." It offers training camps where the dog stays at the facility, with free pickup and delivery and boarding included with training, and it also trains police and protection dogs.

Courses

House training teaches a dog to potty on a leash, on command, outside. Basic Obedience (on leash) covers 10 exercises: heel, sit, come, down, stay, auto sit on heel, auto sit on come, respect for "No," a 30 minute down stay with distractions and a release command, and addresses jumping, play biting and excessive barking. Advanced Obedience repeats the exercises off leash and at a distance.

Facilities

Indoor kennels are air conditioned and heated, with beds, TVs and night time music, and outdoor 50 by 50 foot grass yards have covered patios with swimming pools. Dogs are evaluated before joining play groups.

What to ask

Call for current prices and course lengths, and ask for the free DVD tour of the facilities. Use the Westward Ho exit to reach the kennel.
