About Little Barkers, llc

In-home lessons in Bryan

Little Barkers Dog and Puppy Training provides one-on-one obedience lessons in clients' homes in Bryan and College Station. The trainer is a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, and clients refer to her as Louise.

Method

All training is based on positive reinforcement, without fear or force, with clicker training as the basis of the method. The trainer lists continuing education including ClickerExpo (2013, 2014, 2016), BAT for Aggression, Fear and Frustration (2015), the ORCA animal training conference and a Ken Ramirez seminar (2014), and Karen Pryor Academy's Puppy Start Right course (2013).

Lessons

Lessons cover basic and advanced commands such as come when called, stay and loose-leash walking, and are planned around each owner's goals. There is also a new board and train program for puppies.

What owners say

One client wrote that "We started with 5 sessions to get our puppy on the right track" and later had the trainer back for specific issues, including introducing a new kitten.
