ATX K9 in Elgin

ATX K9 Dog Training is a family-run, owner-operated dog trainer based in Elgin, Texas, about 25 minutes east of Austin, serving the greater Austin area for over 10 years. Owners Ashley and Steven bring over two decades of combined experience, from advanced obedience to emergency veterinary-technician work, and live on site at their 2.5-acre home facility. Ashley competes in AKC Hunt Tests, disc dog and dock diving events and has earned World Championship Qualifier status in Skyhoundz Disc Dogs.

Method

Training is balanced and holistic, attending to a dog's physical and mental health, with positive methods balanced by structure and love. The team coaches both the dog and the humans.

Programs

Board and train runs 1-4 weeks in a climate-controlled facility, with field trips and two private lessons with the owner. A 7-lesson package of 1-on-1 obedience lessons meets at the facility or a park, with 20-30 minutes of daily homework. In-home puppy lessons serve pups under 16 weeks, covering potty and crate training, biting, socialization and leash manners. Boarding is reserved for graduates.
