About DogJoy

A 10-acre training ranch in Pflugerville

DogJoy is a dog training, boarding and daycare facility on a 10-acre property in Pflugerville, with outdoor play yards, obstacle areas and a splash park with a swimming lagoon, beach entry and waterfall. It opened in 2016 and is built around the idea that dogs thrive with structure.

The founder

DogJoy was founded by owner Briana Stringer, CPDT-KA, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a professional member of the APDT and a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. She worked at the Town Lake Animal Shelter, taught group classes at a national pet superstore and started Sublime Canines in 2003. Her passions are anxious, rowdy, reactive or "aggressive" dogs.

Programs

Training programs run from puppies to reactive dogs, with group classes alongside boarding, daycare and the signature R.E.P.S. program of Reinforcement, Enrichment, Play and Socialization. DogJoy emphasizes positive reinforcement and individualized care. Every dog starts with a structured tryout day before daycare or boarding.
