About Wild Dogs
Training for adventure-minded owners
Wild Dogs is a Central Texas dog training business serving Hutto, Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park and Leander. It describes its approach as simple, balanced training that helps a dog channel its "wild" instincts while building trust and communication with the owner, with the goal of more freedom for hikes, camping and dog-friendly restaurants.
The trainers
Morgan attended Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers and Behavior Specialists and later joined its internship program. Reilly, who came to the team after work at a doggy daycare and as an animal control officer, has worked on advanced obedience and severe reactivity with Wild Dogs.
Programs
Training dogs stay in the trainer's home and go on field trips to practice in real-life settings. The board and train options are Intro to Obedience (2 weeks, $2500), Reactive Dog Training (3 weeks, $3500) and Off Leash Ecollar Training (4 weeks, $4500). A 5-week puppy program for puppies 8 to 12 weeks old covers potty training, socialization and basic obedience ($5500). Private lessons run one hour at the trainer's home for $150, and virtual lessons are offered by video chat. Clients get lifelong phone and email follow-up support.
What owners say
One client wrote that Morgan "even did the impossible" with a stubborn English Bulldog.
