About Elite K-9

Elite K-9 in Corpus Christi

Elite K-9 is a dog trainer based at 7510 Wooldridge Rd in Corpus Christi that helps families train their dogs with calm, clear methods. Its stated goal is to teach owners to speak and understand "Dog" and to build a bond that lasts.

How training works

Elite K-9 travels to clients and fits sessions around their schedule, so dogs can train at home. It also offers off-site lessons of the owner's choice, such as a store, mall, park or beach lesson, to build control and communication around real-world distractions. Training topics include puppy training, potty training, obedience, separation anxiety and general anxiety.

Approach

The trainer encourages owners to focus on positive-reinforcement training, set consistent rules, respect the dog as a living being and learn the dog's language.

What to ask

Ask about session prices and package options, which areas the trainer travels to, and who leads the sessions.
