About Coastal Bend Canine College

Coastal Bend Canine College in Corpus Christi

Coastal Bend Canine College is a dog training business serving Corpus Christi and the surrounding area since 2017. Head trainer and owner Terry Hanzak has worked in the wildlife, ranching and dog training fields, and he has been certified by Cesar Millan in Dog Psychology and Socialization. The business counts 900+ dogs trained.

Programs

Owners can choose private in-home lessons or board and train packages for puppies and adult dogs. Basic Obedience teaches on-leash sit, stay, down and recall plus walking on lead. Advanced Obedience adds off-leash training based on the dog's abilities, and High Distraction adds obedience and overcoming reactivity in public places. Terry also works on barking, jumping and other unwanted behaviors.

Method

Training relies on dog psychology and natural, instinctive behaviors, with a reward-based, relationship-based approach meant to build trust and mutual respect. The college stays available for questions after a program ends.
