About The Oaks Ranch

What they offer

The Oaks Ranch in Cherry Valley, home of DCR Working Dogs, specializes in balancing the relationship between owners and their dogs' drive to work.

Herding

Weekly and monthly herding lessons work dogs on sheep or goats and occasionally cattle. Instinct herding tests show whether a dog has livestock instinct, and advanced handlers can rent livestock to work on their own.

Other training

Private consultations cover other needs such as obedience, rally, conformation and service work, and a board and train option offers in-house boarding with daily training. Outside trainers are invited to the ranch for clinics several times a year.
