About Canine Connection

About

The Canine Connection was founded in 2002 to bring humane, force-free dog training to Chico. Its owner and founder holds the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant credentials, among others, and the business follows the codes of ethics of the major certification bodies, using positive tools and avoiding prong, choke and shock collars.

Two sites

Training runs at The Academy on East Lassen Avenue, for new puppies, adolescent and adult dogs, continuing education and dog sports, and fear and anxiety cases. The Resort on Seville Court, off Meyers Street, offers enrichment-based daycare and overnight boarding. The site says the team has helped more than 10,000 dogs and that its positive trainers have more than 70 combined years of professional experience.
