G.O. D.O.G.S. in Oviedo

G.O. D.O.G.S. (Greater Oviedo Dog Obedience, Grooming and Special Training) is the training, daycamp and grooming side of Shaffer Animal Hospital in Oviedo. Its emphasis is on teaching owners and dogs to communicate, with a focus on the relationship and on motivating each dog with food, toys and praise. The team trains without aversive punishment, force, fear, pain or intimidation, and teaches the alternative behaviors owners want to see.

Programs

Doggie DayCamp BootCamp Day Training sends dogs to school for the day in small groups, with Fear Free certified counselors teaching foundation obedience. Group classes run 6-8 weeks indoors in an air-conditioned training room with a certified trainer, follow a Fear Free curriculum and prepare dogs for the Canine Good Citizen exam. Yappy Hour offers drop-in, screened socialization, and Cooperative Care helps fearful pets get comfortable with grooming and veterinary visits.

Private lessons
